Melting
For melting is used 4 Inductotherm induction-furnaces and 2 Naber electrical-furnace. Stationary pyrometers ensure correct temperature control and all material is degassed - aluminium-alloys with argon impeller equipment.
Molding
For molding operations we use Triton High Speed Furane Sand Mixer and Heinrich-Wagner-Sinto bentonite-sand moulding machine with flask-size 450 x 600 mm.
Special jobs - small or big size - can still be solved by traditional hand-moulding.
Core-making
Sand-cores are made in Furane-sand on our Fordath Mavermixer for big-size cores, or in CO 2 sand on our Omega Core Shooter for large series of smaller cores.
Cleaning and control
The cornerstone is our Pangborn Shootblaster which enables us to clean castings up to 1500 x 1000 x 1000 mm and ensures well-cleaned surfaces both in- and outside. Visual and mecanical control is carried out according to our customers requirements, which in many cases includes X-Ray, Ultrasonic Sound measurement of wall-thichness and Pressure-tests.
Machining
In our Machine Shop, we have a various lot of machining equipment at our disposal, especially CNC- Lathes and CNC - Machining Centers, where we are able to carry out all kinds of machining of the castings - immediately after leaving the foundry. This fact ensures, that we can reduce the time of delivery and eliminate imperfect castings. Grinding, welding and pressure tests are also standard routines.
Environment
NYMETAL was the first foundry in Denmark to get an Environmental approval, and through continuous dialogs and tests with the public authorities, the influence on the internal and external environment is constantly controlled.
